THE PROBLEM
Communities of color and rural communities have long experienced inequality in educational opportunities and disparities in health care, but the Covid-19 pandemic has even worsened these already-dire problems.
Even more tragically, many students of color have lost a parent or both parents to Covid-19 or have single parents who have lost their jobs because of the pandemic.
The data is sadly alarming.
It compels us to help alleviate the problems, and, as a nonprofit, we provide our services at no cost to the students we serve.
